Quartz sand processing technology mainly includes the following points:
(1) Dry and wet pulverization of quartz.
Dry processing is common in small businesses. The hardness of quartz is relatively large, and it is also pulverized by calcination. Direct processing of glass and glass products generally uses a crusher plus multiple stages of roll pulverization and sieving.
The wet processing technology is often used by new and large processing companies. It has the advantages of uniform product size, over-grinding and less large particles. Typical process: raw ore----crushing----wet bar mill----fine sieve screening (to coarse grain)----hydraulic classification (de-fine grain)-----magnetic separation iron- --- Dehydration, and its degree of mechanization is higher.
(2) Beneficiation and purification The harmful impurities are clay impurities (fine mud), various iron-iron minerals, and feldspar, mica and other heavy mineral impurities. Generally, washing, re-election, magnetic separation, flotation and chemical beneficiation and comprehensive beneficiation methods are used for sorting.
Washing is suitable for quartz sand ore containing clay impurities and film contamination on the surface of the sand. Re-select Fak to remove particulate iron minerals. Magnetic separation removes mechanical inclusions, various iron-containing minerals, and other magnetic mineral particles. Iron-containing minerals, mica, feldspar, etc. can be removed by appropriate flotation reagents and suitable flotation conditions. The relatively mature process has a silica-free fluorine-free acid-free flotation process. The chemical purification mainly includes acid treatment, alkali treatment, gasification hydrogen chloride method and salt treatment method, but the cost is high, and it is easy to cause corrosion and pollution.
Acid treatment is to treat quartz sand with hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, oxalic acid or hydrofluoric acid to dissolve iron. If a reducing agent such as green cockroach is added, the solubility of iron can be improved.
Specific steps are as follows:
It is heated to a certain temperature with a certain concentration of hydrochloric acid solution, and treated for 2-3 hours; the amount of hydrochloric acid is about 5% of the weight of the sand.
When the quartz sand purification and modification process is studied, the separation of the main impurity iron in the quartz sand is experimentally studied by the process of "washing - acid leaching - roasting - water crushing - secondary acid leaching". By "acid leaching" herein is meant the use of hydrochloric acid. In practice, the effects of acid type, concentration, acid immersion time, temperature and other conditions on the effect are often investigated.
